\r\n Ugandas National Commission for UNESCO is part of the East African Community. Hence they cooperate with UNESCO’s National Commissions in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania.
\r\n Another international cooperation exists with the German National Commission for UNESCO.
Together they established the voluntary service >>kulturweit<<, a programme that gives young germans the opportunity to work at Uganda’s National Commission for UNESCO for 6 or even 12 months. Furthermore they conduct several projects concerning STEP (Student Training For Entrepreneurial Promotion) together with Leuphana University in Lueneburg, Germany.\r\n
This programme aims to promote students in Uganda becoming job creator rather than job seekers. For further information on STEP please look at our section about cross-cutting.\r\n
